Author: Shel Horowitz and Cliff McCarthy

Beginning with a one-toddler action against smokers at his parents’ party at about age three, Shel Horowitz has been involved in environmental and social change movements his whole life. A veteran of the 1977 Seabrook occupation, his first book, written when he was only 22, was about why nuclear power makes no sense. Following the Fukushima disaster of 2011, Shel updated that book for the Japanese market. Cliff McCarthy is an historian in western MA. A longtime activist and seasoned Clam, he is on the coordinating committee of Commonwealth Coalition for Democracy and Safe Energy and working to organize grassroots resistance to new nukes in MA.
